One Thousand Word Excursion

They say a picture’s worth a thousand words, but how many will our writers come up with? Only time will tell during our One Thousand Word Excursion! These excursions are a time for community, focusing more on our writers making friendships, connections, and memories worth a thousand words than coming up with their own.

Join us on March 16 for the City of Dublin’s St. Patrick’s Day Festival! We’ll dress in green, have a spot of tea, and enjoy live Irish music! RSVP by Wednesday, March 13.

SWS sessions are for adults 18 years and older. By signing up for our Offerings, you are acknowledging that you have reviewed the SWS Code of Conduct and agree to creating a safe space for all.

Itinerary:

  • WEAR GREEN. The more extravagant the better. We take celebrations very seriously.

  • 12:00pm: Join us at the Irish Tea Cottage for some tea and a scone. This seems to be located inside the Festival grounds.

  • 12:00-4:00pm: Enjoy the Festival with us! We’ll check out the vendor’s booths, listen to live music, watch the Irish dance shows, and even find a sassy little place to do some writing.

Please bring:

  • Journal and pen, or other form of writing long hand

  • Jacket for that cool Bay Breeze

  • Your charming personality

  • Means of payment for the Irish Tea Cottage and anything you might like to enjoy during the festivities, or potential travel fees (if taking Bart, etc.). Credit cards accepted but suggest having small bills on hand.

Estimated pricing:
